I'm feeling pretty good about it. The Quebec Separatists got totally
decimated too.
In case some haven't been religiously following the Canadian election
coverage today, you can catch up by watching the following video, to
see the dangerous, volatile political currents resulting in this
remarkable outcome:
Probably didn't know we had a Tea Party, eh?

Yep, and the whole thing was done in about a month - from the time the
election was called until the vote.
The opposition parties forced the election on a minority Conservative
government, thinking they could improve their numbers. By the time it
was over, it wound up being a majority government Conservative and
they lost all the leverage they had.

There are some benefits to a parliamentary system of government. Short
election cycles are just one.
