Greetings and beverages for all,
I am having a bit of a problem I hope someone can help with.
I am bleeding my front brakes (first time ever), and after my first
attempt I lost all pressure at the brake lever. Now I cannot generate
any pressure in the brake system.
The bike is a 95 road king, so has older style master cylinder and dual
front disks.
Brakes worked fine before i started, was just bleeding them as
preventive maintenance.
there is no action at the calipers or bleeder valves whin i apply the
brakes.
I suspect that there is a LOT of air in the lines.
Any help?
Thanks,
Gene Lewis

As do I. It sounds like you let the fluid get too low in the master
cylinder. Fill it back up, get to bleeding, watch the level as you go.
Bleeding isn't hard but pay attention. Pump-pump-pump-hold...crack nipple,
close nipple, repeat. Watch the fluid level every few strokes at first, get
a feel for how many times you can hit it before refilling the reserviour.
You should be able to get back to having _some_brakes for the morning ride
thisaway. When you get a chance, RTFM.

fluid level in m.c. never got low. but nothing pumps when i pump the
lever.
i mean, the piston moves freely and all, but no fluid goes down the
lines.

Did you read his post?
I also had the same problem first time I tried to do this.
His directions are spot on.
Mt thinks someone has not purchased the elusive Service manual as this would
explain the process clearly...
Just a theory.

The service manual was where i started. I tried to be as well informed
as possible before i messed with something so important as my brakes.
The problem is that pumping the lever doesn't expel any air or fluid at
the bleeders. no matter how much i pump the lever, i can't generate any
pressure.
