Charlie, libations all around...
hey gang,
Sold my tired, old flstf and purchased an '01.
Problem is, the Nacelle
(big headlight thingy) is too large for the old shield which is worn
to shat anyhow...
Tried a '06 RK windshield, but the Nacelle on that ride is a
different
(shorter north to south) *bolt configuration. Also tried my wife's
'05
Deluxe shield which had the proper bolt position, but insufficient
headlight size and too close for tach.
To furthur complicate matters, the new bike has the fancy chrome HD
tach built
into the h-bar clamp -possibly intruding into the windshield
profile.
The RK shield _did_ allow room for the tach.
Hoping a member here may have a similar setup. I will take a ride to
the local Stealer if needed, but the staff there is stoopider than me
-
mostly.
*mounting bolt centering; Fatty 7 1/2", RK 6 3/4"
Bike pics are under "Photos used for prewar..."

We'll be heading to DB in a few weeks and need to prevent any
unnecessary lovebug ingestion. Incidentally, the value of my brain
precludes the purchase of a shiny new fullface lid.
Greatly appreciate the guidance. Ride safe.

Boston

Take a look at this http://tinyurl.com/2q74bs
It comes in assorted heights and tints.
I have a Rifle replacement windshield for my FXST.
The product was better than advertised and IMHO, better than stock.
Got here in a timely manner too.
You could give them a call about the tach clearance.
