I mentioned in an earlier post that I had picked up a '87 FXR a couple
of weeks ago after selling my '79 FXS in 1999. I did ride the FXR home
in the rain/snow (not fun), and test drove it after doing some repairs
(two miles). The weather in Northern New York has not been conducive to
doing a lot of pleasure riding lately. So after doing repairs,
maintenance, upgrades and cleaning/waxing, etc., I couldn't stand it
anymore. Threw on some long johns under the jeans, a good leather coat,
gloves, etc and I was off (it's about 35 today). I have class tonight
(machine shop) so I couldn't be gone long, but two hours later I pulled
back into my garage. All the old feelings came back. The seat on this
bike is the most comfortable of any of my bikes I've had.
Now if the weather will just warm up a bit more.
I think this deserves a round on me!

Now your talking. I'll have a Glenmorangie 18, cooled over a couple of cubes
and then remove the cubes to preserve the flava~~~~ Then I'll have a nice
icy cold Yuengling in a frosted Carlsbad Cavern glass. Then I'll have a shot
of your best bourbon in an MAMBM shotglass.
Now if that don't warm things up, nuttin' will.

You had me until you poured the Bourbon.
I think I'll finish up with a nice Ron Barcelo Gran Anejo
Here I am just waiting for it to warm up enough to stop snowing.
Every time it dries up we get just enough to slick it all back up
again.

Warm up? Heck I've been debating closing the windows and turning on the
airconditioning.
