Hi, I have never vended a bike rally and have been invited to vend
food in Los Banos July 11 -1 3. I'm wondering how well this event is
attended. Do riders travel between Hollister and Los Banos. Is there
enough traffic through Los Banos to justify the expense of setting up
to feed ya all? My costs are 1/3 les in Los Banos for booth space.
I'd be open to hearing from any of you who are familiar with the scene
and can give me some decent advice.
Warning: My food is awesome. I'll likely be serving Cajun Jambalaya,
Beignets, Crab Cakes, Corn Dogs, and other food, made on site.
thanks, phoenix at rainbowpuddle dot com

Well, I never heard of it, or you, so it seems.
So why do you care?

Uh, so _you_ say, but you have never been challenged by Bobby Flay on
"THE FOOD NETWORK." :)
And by the by, the only GOOD "Crab cakes" ever made, were made by my
Grandmother, that she personaly trapped every day off her dock in Port
Salerno, Fla.

:>
: Go for it. I usually lead a group of 30-40 riders through Los Banos, and
: we're always looking for something besides a sit-down place to eat. I
: always see hundreds of bikes in Los Banos every day of the rally, and
: their aren't enough fast places to get food. It's only about 45 miles
: from Hollister over Pacheco Pass, and the people that frequent Hollister
: are definitely the kind to ride 45 miles for good food. There's already
: Cajun food at Hollister, but not in Los Banos.
Hey Dennis, I'll be leading a group of about 50-60 riders through there
myself. Let's meet at the Cajun food vendor.
It'll be nice to get some Cajun food at Los Banos.

Cool. I'm assuming he'll be on the east side of town to catch the riders
coming in from Fresno. Say Friday at 3:00pm? I'll mark my calendar.

I meant Merced, not Fresno. Most of the Fresno guys trailer their bikes
and already have their food in ice chests.
