Hey Shirley, let's see if a round or two will loosen
the tongues in here. Plastic on the bar.
Does anyone with more money than common sense have any
experience with the LED headlight PN-73273-11 ?
In particular is it really any brighter than the Dual
Bulb Halogen Headlamp Kit 67863-04A
that I'm running at this time?
Thanks

I had one on my 2005 Road King. I took it off before I traded it. It's
still on the bench. It put out a lot more light than the stock
headlamp and a better pattern too. Additionally, the way the reflector
aimed, it wasn't very bright for on-coming traffic in day light. As a
result, I added highway bar halogen driving lights and ran with them
on all the time. Then I was very visible.

Thanks for the info. I'm considering one for the Ultra
but a $400.00 headlight is a bit of a hard hit on my
budget. So I'm still just considering, not ordering.
Shirley, give the gentleman another round of whatever
he's having.
Thanks

I'm sort of in the same boat as you there, Skooter. I'd LOVE to have
one of those things on either my bike or my wife's because we
regularly ride to visit our daughter's family in the country, where
there's a 'tonne' of deer and moose activity. A set of those things
could make the difference between live-altering/ending injury, the way
I look at it.
I tried to swing a deal with one of the dealerships about a month ago:
LED lights for both our cruisers in exchange for some work I was
doing. Then I found out they only make those lights for the touring
models.
Well, I guess I could have opted for it and put both in the Road
Glide, but that seemed almost seems wasteful. They'd be worth almost
as much as the whole bike put together is! But what a beam *two* of
them would cast...

I keep looking that those Hella H4 conversions they're talking about over on
HTT and thinking the same thing for the Tour Glides. They aren't near as
expensive as the LEDs and there's a ton of higher wattage/brighter color
temp bulbs for 'em. Hard to find 'em for the 5" headlights, though, most of
the one's I've seen are for the 7".
