Do HD Sales folks typically quote lower for a cash purchase, or a
financed purchase? Anyone know the answer or have a relevant purchase
experience with an HD dealer?

When I bought my '05, they weren't having any trouble selling bikes so
a cash sale didn't get me a better deal. I had to take advantage of
"bike show" pricing just to get MSRP! Now that there is lots of
inventory sitting around getting dusty, I suspect you will get a
better deal. The only time cash will get you a better deal is when
the seller is in a hurry to sell. Ask them. Be prepared to walk away
from the deal.
It sure is dry in here. Anyone else thirsty?

On me......
When I bought my 2005, I got MSRP, plus the cost of some upgrades they'd done
(speakers, XM radio mounting)......they charged me about double what the
upgrades were worth.......and did most of them wrong resulting in me having to
do them over later.
The one I bought was sitting in the storeroom and they were rolling the 2006
models out into the showroom......
Since I walked in the door with my own financing, it was the same to them as
cash although they offered to match my credit union's interest rate. I took
their deal to save me a trip, few days later my CU lowered their rates so I
moved my financing to them.
I also put 50% down in cash......

You're gonna be in Kansas shortly after the election to get that beer,
