I'm heading out for a leisurely ride towards Daytona. Anyone want to

Shirley! A drink for anyone that reads this.
I took a leisurely ride over to Daytona today.
Headed out on 44 East until I hit 35. I took 35 North . As I went
through a small town I saw a rail boxcar with Marinette Tomahawk and
Western Railroad Company on the side of it. I have spent time in both
of those WI towns. I kept going North on 35 until I came to 413. That
took me Northeast till I hit 40 and I took that through the Ocala
National Forest. At one stop a gas station I had a guy come up and
tell me to ride careful. He told me of just going by two separate
bike accidents. I had just come through and they must have happened
just behind me! Seeing as how it was Thursday, there was not much
traffic so everyone got to pass me for a change. I liked the ride
through the forest as it reminded me a little of the Nicolet National
Forest in WI.
I got to US 1 and rode South and then backtracked to Smileys Tap for a
beer and a Tshirt. Had a nice chat with a short ladie bartender and
just before I left told her "All the stories I hear about this place
must be true". She just smiled and said the dancing girls come in
later!
On the ride home I stayed on 40 as I had a set of foot peg covers at
Ocala HD I had to pick up. After getting into Ocala the traffic on 40
was pretty bad, but nothing like that on 200 South. It reminded me
why I like small towns better!
Shirley, another for them that stayed to the end! I'll have another
Beam and coke. Or maybe I should just break the seal on one of those
bottles and have a trickle if someone will join me.
