Yup , so far so good . We've got around 6" in the last 3 days , and about
a third of my back yard is under water- but that happens when we only get a
half inch , so not a big deal . They've been sandbagging the front doors to
City Hall , as the Big Muddy is supposed to crest higher than it has since
the Great Flood Of '37 ... I say fergit the sandbags , lets see if them
damn bureaucrats can swim .
Worst part is that my 'net connection's been down , I couldn't even whine
and complain to y'all .

We've seen that elephant ... last year our son and his family got flooded
out of their trailer in Millington . Lost everything but the clothes on
their backs and their SUV . Well , that's a little misleading , they did go
back and salvage a small portion of their stuff . But yeah , we know what
that's like .
Yesterday they evacuated all military personnel living on the (Millington)
Navy base ... and are now running with "essential personnel only".
