Shirley, Please set up these Gentleman with the poison of their choice.
I have had the Hogtunes handlebar mounted system on the bike ('08 FLSTC) for
about a month now. Works well for anything 45 mph and below. Can catch
bits and pieces of songs between 45-55 mph. Can't hear shit over that
though. I am only using a Sansa Clip to supply the tunes, would a better
quality mp3 player work better? Not sure.
Anyone have any experience with this system or one of the other similar
systems on the market?
Fill your glasses again on my tab.

Thanks for the drink. I don't have experience with the Hogtunes,
although I know what it is as I considered it for my old Heritage.
On my Ultra Classic it is difficult to hear anything clearly above that
range, and that's an amplified system with front and rear speakers.
There's a bit of difference depending upon whether I'm listening to FM,
CD, or XM but generally the audio works best at lower speeds. Road and
wind noise just get too overwhelming. I recently upgraded to the J&M
speakers (not an option for the Hogtunes) and that made it a lot better
but you just can't get great audio at higher speeds IMHO.
Does that Hogtunes unit have a headphone output?

No headphone output...generally on the slab I've been yanking the line
feed and plugging in the earbuds directly to the Clip..illegal...but works.
It does come with a USB charge only port which is nice, especially since my
cell has USB also.
Overall I guess I would say I'm fairly pleased with the system...can't
expect much from a 50 watt amp and 2" speakers!
You're glass is empty, as is mine....Shirley another round over here please!

...cause of your pipes. I can hear clear and loud at 80.
