Rolled in to the same 38 degrees I left a week ago...only it was light out
then. Made a few temperature observations enroute:
38 degrees in the sun is warmer than 48 degrees under an overcast.
38 degrees in the dark is just cold.
38 degrees in the rain for 150 miles speaks for itself.
Major kudos to the wild, wonderful State of West-by-God Virginia for getting
out the this morning and lacquoring their Turnpike with gazzilions of tons
of salt for the sleet and freezing rain they had early. Made it an
especially tasty trip in the rain. I've always wanted a white bike anyway.
And tires. And leather. And luggage.
Further tidbits after I defrost.

Not to worry...that stuff falls off in sheets in a few weeks.
