I moved here in July 2006. My neighbor rides an Electra Glide Classic.
Puts about 20K on it a year. We sit around and drink beer together, but
to date we haven't ridden a foot with each other. It just never worked
out that we were free for a ride at the same time. I 'spose we coulda
worked something out...but we just didn't get around to it.
Anyway, this Saturday he and I are finally going to take a ride
somewhere. I asked him if he had any place specific he wanted to go and
he said, "Yup. I definitely want to go west." I guess that's as specific
as a guy needs to be on a nice Saturday cruise. Hopefully there'll be a
beer "out west" somewhere. His girlfriend and my wife are going along,
too. They'll keep us from getting into too much trouble.
Been trying to get him to come to Roger's or Eddie's with me, but he
drives a big honker dump truck for various road construction crews and
he is real busy during the riding season. He always has a lot of time
off during January and February, but those are not the best months to
ride in Kansas. Get's a bit nipply 'round here. We just drink beer then.
