I just watched the movie Hell's Angel 69. The movie stars the actual Hells
Angel crew from Oakland. Sonny Barger is the lead Angel. I rented it to see
what they were riding and what the M/C scene was like back then some 40
years ago. What I noticed though was that the bike of choice seemed to be
the Sportster, some fairly stock and some semi chopped. There were some big
twins too, but the sporty seemed most popular. If the toughest M/C riders
rode sportys I wonder who recently started tagging them as girls bikes. I
also wonder what would have happened if that term were used back then in
front of them.
