got rusty flakes in the tank, they were stored for quite a while.

Put a fistful of nuts and bolts in the tank along with a couple quarts
of water and agitate over a couple beers. Drain. Optionally you can also
add an acid rince. I use the stuff they clean dairy pipes (maybe $4 a
gallon). Put in sun to dry completely. Then just fill the tank and be
happy. When you store it, be sure to store it with a full tank. Worked
for me forever.

The tanks (od harley 2 piece) have been in storage for awhile and have rust
flakes in them
