I live in Alabama and I'm looking for a good shop to rebuild my 1977
Sportster XLH.  I want a shop that is capable of doing a complete rebuild
with the correct jigs and tools, not some guy doing it in his back yard.
Can anyone here recommend a good shop that does quality work in this area,
I'm located thirty miles north west of Birmingham.  I've asked Riders Harley
Davidson about it but the service manager told me they only work on Evos.
Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Terry

Oh, and my apologies... Bartender set up a round for the house.

Thanks,
Terry

Nice save. Mmmmmm...  Guinness...

You might look here for some leads:

I'm a long way from your neighborhood so can't recommend anyone, but I'd suggest
you look
for experts it the various disciplines, ie: a motor guy for motor work, paint
guy for
paint, etc.

Define.."Rebuild"

Don't confuse restore, with rebuild.
You mention "jigs" as if the frame is bent.
Just what the hell did you buy?

No, I can't.

But what you have is a belly button bike, so I have to wonder just what
the hell you desire.

Your right, restore would have been the correct word... my apologies

Frame is straight, I was referring to the tools necessary to assure proper
alignment when certain portions of the engine rebuild is done such as
reaming the cam bearings, I don't want some guy using a hand drill doing
this in his back yard.

Then you can't help me.

Thanks,
Terry
