Banker strolled into NJ about 10:15 and we were off... NJ, PA, WV, OH,
IN so far.
Stopped just across the border in Richmond, IN. We're trying for
somewhere in western KS tomorrow.
Rain in Jersey, parts of PA... BUCKETS of it. Popped out into the sun
when we hit the PA TPK... only a couple of dickheads on the road...
nobody that needed shooting anyway.
More as it comes.

Days Inn... they don't care...
Let's see if we can get to somewhere close to Dodge City or Greensburg,
KS today. Staying on I-70 until Kansas City, then I-35 down to Emporia,
and west on 50.

You're probably on the road already, but I'll send this anyway.
You'll ride within 4 miles of my place if you take I-35. If you guys are
gonna stop for gas or a break in the area, let me know and I can at
least meet you and buy you a soft drink. There is a Shell
station/convenience store on I-35 at exit 207 in Gardner KS. That's on
the far south west side of the Kansas City metro area. Good place to stop.

Yup, that's what we did... took it down to Emporia, and headed west on
50.
Sorry we didn't get to connect.
We got to a train crossing with a freight (tankers) stopped dead in the
way.
Looked to my left there's a big building with the train in it.
Looked to my right, there's a bar.
It was 93 degrees sitting there at the train tracks.
The bar was air conditioned and the beer was cold.
The gentlemen in the bar offered some advice, and we took it.
Take 150 to 56 and stay on it to Dodge City.
It was good advice.
If anyone out there is coming down 35 looking for 50, head down 150 and
56.
Very nice roads, 65mph posted 75 average speed, not much in the way of
traffic, and beautiful ranches, farms, smells and sights.
