I want to remove some weight from my 850 lb Ultra Classic to make it
easier to maneuver when parking, backing etc. The Street Glide is about
80 lbs lighter and feels easier to manage (I sat on one at a dealer's).
Here are some things I can probably do without:
* radio/tape player/speakers in the fairing (can't hear them anyway)
* fairing lowers (use cloth slip-ons if needed)
* chrome cage around the panniers
* replace the fiberglass panniers with leather or even fabric saddlebags
* rear crash bars (not present on the Street Glide)
* tour pack
* replace the stock dual seat with a single
* replace the front fender with something minimal
* passenger footboards
* fog lights and connecting bar under the headlight
Any other ideas? TIA -- drinks are on me.

So you can tell it's easier to maneuver just by sitting on it?
