Figured since there's barely any threads here anymore anyway, an oil thread
not likely to get anyone up in arms. But let's give it a shot anyway.
I recall reading from a few that mixing dyno & synth is perfectly ok
provided they are for the same purpose i.e. motorcycle, car etc... In this
particular case, I change the oil last night with Mobil 1 V-Twin and
realize after that I only had 3 quarts, shy a 1/2q. I happen to have a 1/2q
of H-D dyno 20-50 lying around. Common sense tells me to chuck it in there,
a 1/2q dyno to the 3q synth should be perfectly fine. At $12/quart, I have
no problem saving myself $6 and not running out to find a q of synth.
Thoughts on the subject?
