Good GPS navigators are able to communicate to the motorcycle rider
directly by way of bluetooth technology…

How in the world are ya supposed to get lost, then? That's the most
exciting part of the trip...getting lost. The only thing better than
getting lost is getting lost *and* running out of gas. I ran out of gas
in western Kansas during the hot summer a few years back. Since I wasn't
lost the excitement factor was low, but it still counted as a good
'running out of gas' episode. I had to walk about 4 miles in the sun,
but the vultures circling overhead provided a bit of shade for me. I
don't enjoy running out of gas at night, though. It may be more
comfortable to walk in the cool night, but the few people that do stop
their cars to offer help usually look like serial killers on their way
to work. Not that I have anything against serial killers...some of my
best friends are Axe Murderers. <sfsf>

I had to walk about 4 miles in the sun,

well next time you run aoutta gas in the daytime
wait til the sun goes down before walking to get gas, problem solved

You could drink beer while yer waiting for night time, just don't
forget to get the gas before daylight

you dont need bluetooth, visual is all you need. i use gps for trips
via backroads. bought a cheap gps nuvi200w, use bicyle route for
back roads, a mount from ram and a plastic bag for rain all in all
$240 not $700 for most others
