They finally put some Guinness in here so have some if you are

The actual city of Myrtle Beach has been against both May bike meets
(the October meet less so) for a number of years now. As the
population transitions to a more mature (ancient) retiree population
it's gotten more strident.
My position has always been there was nothing they could really do in
the city limits that would seriously affect the meets which are spread
out over the county. I was wrong.

They are going to investigate what can be done to eliminate the
rally's and have raised the taxes on the city property holders to fund
the research.
Boy was I wrong.
