Shirley, a Bloody Mary for me and get everyone else a drink too.

A while back I posted about a noise I had been hearing when heeled
over in tight left U turns.  Well The other day I was in a real tight
left U turn under slight power when I distinctly heard "the" sound. It
was the sound of metal banging on aluminum...As if there was something
hitting the primary cover.

Lucky for me Kickstart let me use his lift to check things out.  It's
head and shoulders above layin on the concrete at home!!!!!

It appears to be the primary chain tensioner.  When the bike is heeled
over under slight throttle the chain is under tension and the
tensioner is not against the chain.  The plate is worn and the bracket
it is on has slightly more play in it than a new one.  The bracket on
the new one is three times heavier than the old one too.

After making several tight U turns after replacement there has been no
noise.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Have another on me!
Shirley, another Bloody Mary please.
