Not here trying to stir up the "politcal pot" but this was sent to me twice
so I
figured I would check it out.
The one that was on Youtube was "removed" so here is another link to it.
Have a cold/hot one on me while you watch it and again, not trying to start
anything but I did indeed find this
interesting.

Sorry, it was deleted again.

That video keeps on disappearing off of the internet.

I didn't watch the whole thing so I didn't get that impression, but I could
see where one would.  You didn't argue about the Community Reinvestment Act,
or much else, so I figure you didn't feel it necessary or actually saw the
connection.  My thoughts are that it's not a race issue, although the video
may have pointed in that direction, like I said, I didn't watch it all.  I
suspect there were a lot of middle class whities that wanted a bigger home
and took advantage of the subprime rates and zero down, thinking a) they can
turn around and sell it at a profit in a few years, b) use the down payment
money to invest, or c) just wanted a bigger home.  The $500,000 home that
your average guy (white or not) picked up and now can't afford is likely
doing more harm than the $150,000 the "brown people" bought.

Granted I'll have to read the whole act to find out if there were
provisions, maybe the subprime lending rate and zero down weren't available
to people that make over a certain amount.

I normally wouldn't engage in these discussions since I'm woefully
uninformed, but your response seemed, well, weak for lack of a better term,
no offense.  I expect at least one person will cut out everything except the
part where I say that I'm woefully uninformed and then add "No kidding.", so
there, I beat you to it.  <g>
