How about some motorcycle stuff......
I've had a bit of a wobble in my Ultra since just about day one. I only feel it
when going kinda fast, in downhill sweepers.
Anyway.....
Back in September before I rode up to SNIFF I replaced the tires on my Ultra
with Dunlop Elite 3's.....
I SURE like these tires. They've got a more aggressive tread, more like a sport
bike......seem to have a good grip on the road, although I did slip a little bit
going over Monitor Pass back in October as the snow was starting to fall and I
strayed over onto one of the stripes on the road....did much better even as we
got to Carson Pass near Lake Tahoe and found the Sheriff closing the pass due to
snow. Following the snowplow down the hill, road covered in packed snow was
tense, but we made it OK.
They've also got a slightly higher load carrying rating than the stock Harley
Dunlops.....I've got it on good authority that they will last quite a bit longer.
I also found out about, bought, and installed one of Terry Weatherhead's (TWR =
Terry Weatherhead Racing) stabilizer links (bracket on the right swing arm
bracket, link to bracket on the rear of the trans pan).
Ran me a tad over $300, install was a breeze, but I spent most of my life as a
mechanic before I realized all my time in the classroom should mean I belonged
in an office......
Terry's a good guy and a pleasure to deal with......even though he's in Canada
<sfsf>.
On that trip and subsequent sorties up into the hills and mountains in good
weather and bad.....frikkin bike as ridden like it was on rails. Straight, no
wobble at all, holds the curves like it was bolted to them. Have even noticed
that wind buffeting when passing semi's out on the interstate is nearly
non-existent now.
Don't know if it was the tires or the link, but it has to be a combination of
both......what a great ride now.....a completely stable platform.
Doesn't get ya out of the job of keeping an eye on your engine and trans mounts
though......
Sign me up to be a fan of both these products......

IIRC I installed the TWR just before you did and by comparison I'm
running the OEM Dumslops. It made a marked difference in handling, so
can't be all tires. I tried it out several months ago headin' up to
LaGrange through some decent twisities. Put it through it's paces again
yesterday after the Mathews memorial when several of us left town and
went up to one of the watering holes in the nearby foothills. There's a
couple good sets of twisties comin' and goin'. Yeah like it's on rails..

Some drunk guy at a party one time told me that he wasn't a biker, he was a
motorcycle enthusiast......
I'm pretty sure I was drunk too.....double shots of Woodford's will do that to a
guy.
