What do you want it for? What kind of e-mail system do you have?
We use all three at work, based on the users preferance. Seems the
executives want Blackberry's, I suspect just for the name since when we
first started getting smart phones they were told the Windows Mobile systems
would work much better with our e-mail system. We've added enough of them
to make me take the plunge and add a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (the free
one) to our system to accomidate them. I prefer Windows Mobile. I don't
have many people left using Palm OS, mainly because I don't think they like
the devices. This is very much a "What do you need it for?" and personal
preference thing.

We've got all three here at work too. I find the users swear by what
they use. Personally, I don't use any of them, except to make them
work again after someone borks their system.

Since most carries offer any of the platforms, selecting by carrier is
no longer necessary.
Palm OS used to be very good, back when they were at like 3.0 or 4.0.
Now it's bloated and seems to crash a lot, even more than Windows
Mobile. Blackberry is the most stable and also the most secure. But
they *still* have not allowed reading HTML email without 3rd party
software. If you get a lot of HTML email, I can't recommend it. But
if your email is mostly text, Blackberry is the best. Messages appear
almost instantly on the phone when they arrive at the server. There's
a press release on the RIM site that says HTML email is coming soon.
But I haven't seen it on my Pearl yet.
All of them handle contacts, calendar, etc. about the same. I.e.,
synchronize with Outlook, Notes, or whatever other PIM you have on
your PC.
If you want to work on Office documents on the go, Windows Mobile is
the choice. Although Blackberry says that capability is coming soon
as well. Personally, I wouldn't want to work on spreadsheets,
powerpoints or word documents on any of them. Just being able to read
office and PDF attachments is fine with me. They can all do that now.
So really, just go to the phone store and try them all out. I settled
on the Pearl but the Motorola Q and an HTC set were also in the
running. I've had the Pearl for about 1.5 years now and still love
it.

Discovered SERO, eh? I used the CEO's e-mail addy <g>

Stick a 4 gig micro SD Card in it.... most apps will run off the card
leaving device mem for those that won't.

I know Sprint's Palms... and probably the Win Mobiles, can IMAP or POP3,
most of 'em will push if you just gotta be in touch.

SprintUsers Forum has a lot of folks swapping their Moto Qs for just about
anything else.Didn't follow the threads so I'm unaware of the issues.

Hmmm, dunno if Palm's sync software will work with Macs. That'd be a
dealbreaker.
