The drinks are on me, I'm flush with long wheelbase tens.
The chopper buell left my acre for the last time last night. I
had my fun and had a hankering for a different kind of bike.
I had a good time building it and really enjoyed riding it, but
it was time for a change. I ran it on Craigslist and got a hit
from a dude about 100 miles away. He had a suzuki chopper
of some sort and when he saw the chopper buell on the list
he got an uncontrollable woody. He called me at least twice
a day for the past 10 days and sent probably 25 emails. He
was concerned about the seat height since he is vertically
challenged. Well he showed up last night and it was love
at first sight. There was no question he was gonna buy the
bike even though he litteraly could not put his feet on the pegs.
Those of you that have seen the CB in person know that I
set it up for me to ride (@ 6' 4"), now this dude is 5 foot nothing
wearing cowboy boots. It was hard not to laugh, even his
friend was laughing. Within 10 minutes he was helmeted
and gone. My daughter was loafing in the garage when this
deal went down. It was all she could do to keep a straight face.
She was texting a friend of mine and giving him the play by play.
After it was done she was laughing about dude and his friend,
she was highly suspicious they were of an alternative life style.
Just like the last bike I sold, I was sure he would pile it up at
the end of the driveway, so I listened to the scanner for MC
wrecks for an hour or so.
Think I'll print one of the pics of the Goddess posing on it and
hang it in the garage with the 2 show trophies it took.
Long live the chopper buell..............................
