I have a 1996 purple candy road king, with 25,000 klms on the clock and the
bike has always been garaged.
After getting my bike back from the workshop I noticed two areas of
paintwork on the rear panel of the right hand pannier roughly 50mm x 25mm
where the clearcoat has disintergrated. There are feint signs of sanding.
I have been told that it is normal wear and tear for the clearcoat on the
rear panel of harley panniers [particularly the r/h one] to disintergrate.
Any harley paint experts out there?
