It is with great joy I announce the return to Houston of Philip B., a
soldier who has returned after his second tour in Iraq. He is no
relation to me, I only had the honor to meet him as he needed a place
to keep his bike, a Yamaha R6, and my daughter suggested me to him
since I've been riding for over 30 years and could take care of it for
him while he was gone. I rode the bike once a week for 10 miles
(Saturdays) alternating weeks I would get it up on the freeway and let
it stretch its legs a bit. This bike redlines at 17.5K rpm. He told me
when he picked it up he heard there was a recall because the bike
should only redline at about 15 or 16k. He spoke of trading it in on
an R1 if the recall allowed for a favorable trade in deal. I have to
say I never got it over 8k rpm or 75 mph. The bike was a blast to ride
and I put about 400 miles on it since he dropped it off in April.
Again, I am proud to have helped him out in the small way I was able
to and am very glad he has returned to ride off on his bike following
a pretty gal in her beemer. (pics of his bike next door)

Have a couple on me. Glad to see him come home.
We just sent one over and we're praying for them all the time.
Tell him we're all real proud of him and that we thank him for his service.

Wonderful, Harold. If you see him again, thank him for me. And thank
you for being willing to help someone out, even if you did have a lot of
fun doing it. <g>
Lemme get ya a round.
