Well, today I done it.

Bought a 2010 FLSTC.  Found it on Craigslist about 20 miles south of
here.  Had 1520 miles on it and a year left on the factory warranty.

Gave $15.5k for it.  No problems or issues.  Straight out sale.  No
complications and the guy seemed like a pretty decent fellow.

I still have the 06 Sporty which I bought new and put 33k on it.  The
spousal unit said it was OK with her if I kept it also.

I was not really in the market for another bike, but when I saw this one
come along, I had to check it out.

To top it off....today is my birfday.  Dayum.

Happy Birthday. IMHO, the Heritage is the prettiest bike in the Harley
line. I just don't like to ride em. Too stiff for old folk with bad
joints.

Found it to be a LOT smoother ride than the Sporty.  When I look in the
rear view mirrors, I can actually see vehicles behind me on the
Heritage.  The Sporty, just a blur from engine vibration.

Gotta get used to 6 speeds now instead of 5.  Plus the Heritage is fuel
injected and the Sporty has a carburetor.

Man, you Can Not buy spousal units like that anymore.  When I was
unemployed for two intolerable years in 2001-2002, spousal unit vetoed
selling the sporty.  Make sure you hold onto yours; they done broke
the mold.

I am going to follow your advice.  After I met the guy and test rode the
bike, she was out working in the garden.  I told her the guy and myself
had made a deal and I was going to meet him back there to complete the
transaction and would she give me a ride.  She looked up from her
gardening and asked me, "Is this the bike you REALLY want?"

I was kinda puzzled and said, "Well yeah".

She said, "Well, if it is, let me pay for it".

We have been together for 31 years.  I am gonna hold on to her for
awhile longer.
