Hi all,
I am new to the world of biking and purchased a 2009 FatBoy in April.
I have put about 1000 miles on it so far and I have nticed that my
exhaust pipes are developing a bluish tint on the underside. It is not
noticeable from a straight on view do to the chrome heat shields over
the exhaust, but it does refect off of the engine making it visible.
It's more like being able to see it in a mirror.
Is this normal? Is there a way to clean them or prevent it from
happening? Should I not care or worry about it at all?
Thanks!

Hehehehe, mine were gloss black, then gloss black & rust. Now they are gas
grill flat black. I'll try to get more rust on them later.

They're blue? They're sad - ride the bike more and they won't be so sad.

I believe H-D has a service bulletin on file for your issue. It should be
covered under warranty, so I would just take it back to the dealer for a
fresh set. That is the best advice I can give when I am so dehydrated.
