Any slugs or netscum (besides me) attending the opening tonight with Keb
Mo and Robben Ford?

Good op for IRL and a refreshng beverage whilst diggin the tunes.

A most excellent way to blow $10 and a couple of cans of food...

Almost went, but I wouldn't have seen your post anyway.  Decided not
to fight the crowds.

As it turned out, we ended up at Salvador Molly's, the same place we
went with you and the Scurrs a few years back.  I had the jambalaya
and three cubra libres.  I was happy.

Crowds were not as bad as I expected, that will not be the case tonight
or tomorrow. The sets were short but the music was all good. Robben
Ford's jazzy guitar and Keb Mo's great story telling carried me off to a
very pleasant place.

We sat in the middle, did not get stepped on, and other than sitting on
the ground had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Good folks around us and
good music in the air. Too bad the guy with the KGB wasn't sharing, it
sure smelled sweet (I'd have blown my clean time for a taste)

While I would have preferred the guy on the boat wearin nothing but a
pirate hat and a codpiece had worn more clothing, I was mesmerized buy
the group of kids dirty dancing. Debbie kept poking me for staring...

And as a warning the cops were hitting it hard and generating lots of
revenue all around outside the gates, even on the water.

Three cubra libres and I'd be a fairly happy fellow too!

Debbie thumped me again getting off the train cause I was flirting with
a school teacher who was interested(ing).

Yep good time, I'm gonna have to go back again.

(I didn't smack Debbie or cover her eyes when she was oggling the nekkid
dude (and elbowing the girl next to her and pointing). Why does she keep
hitting me?)

We were in the front row for the Robben Ford set (which made it great for
the guitar but the vocal almost inaudible). Last time we saw him was on our
anniversary 18 years ago.  He looks pretty good and sounded better than ever
but did notice he had to put on his specs for the autograph signing over at
the music millenium booth afterwards.  Also went down front for the Johnny
Winter show the next night.  Also not bad but I'm getting to old to stand on
a 45 deg. slope and get bumped into by dancing kids repeatedly, but I gottta
agree the view wasn't bad at times.
