Popping my head in the door for a quick beverage, so help yourselves.
The bike had it's first trip on a tow truck today. Driving home after work
in the dark, about -7C and I hear a reeeeeally bad noise from the engine,
reminicent of a connecting rod/piston issue. I grabbed a handfull of
clutch, shut it down and coasted to the side of the road and got the bike as
far off the highway as possible, which meant getting the hack wheel on the
big snowbank, which was pretty steep so I could only get it a little bit up.
It's sitting in the garage right now and I think it's going to the shop
since I don't have time to do the work myself these days.
Electric gloves work great when they're plugged in, not so much when they're
not.

I sat myself on the snow bank well away from the bike. I left the lights on
with the blinker going, but I was on the side of an on ramp so most people
would be looking over their left shoulder so they can merge into the highway
traffic. I was waiting for someone more concerned with what's over their
should and not expecting something to be on the side of the road. Nobody
hit the bike, but a saw a few startled swerves.
