Set em up Shirl, I'm buying the first few rounds. Card's on the bar.
There recently was some discussion on likes and dislikes on brake
pads. Some like the HD OEM pads, myself and a few others prefer
Lyndall's (Z or Gold).
I was leafing through the latest edition of Thunder Press and noticed
an ad on page 21 for HawkPerformance.com offering sintered and organic
pads. Checked out the web site and they, apparently are another high
performance pad manufacturer. I shop at Summit Racing since they're a
local business. SR happens to be a dealer of Hawk Performance's and SR
also has a web site for mail order. I was curious to know what they
were pricing the Hawk pads at, checked their site, and find that the
sintered pads are $27.95 a set and the organics $23.95. Significantly
less expensive than the Lyndall's. So I may give them a try after I
wear out the Lyndall's I installed in September. Hawk also claims low
noise and little or no dust.

Nice store, kinda convenient having them close, huh? I do more business
there in riding weather cuz I'd rather ride over than do business at home
plus they have a lot of stuff no one else carries. How far are you from
Tallmadge?
If you'd swap bikes more often you wouldn't have the inconvenience and
expense of changing brake pads <g>

Yeah, maybe he wouldn't have to change brake pads, but then there's that
pesky payment deal. I'd rather change pads every couple of years than write
a check every month.

What's a payment? Put in on Len's credit card. The number's scribbled all
over Rest Areas everywhere. (thanks, Bob!)

Not the VB&G's restrooms. I keep the graffiti down. Although I did
document the number, for posterity's sake. That's the ticket.
By the way, whoever keeps drawing the dick on the wall, use a fine point
pen so you can draw yours life-size.
My ex-wife had her credit card stolen. She asked me later if I had
canceled the card. I said, no, the guy that stole it spends less than
you do.
