Thanks for the cool (if thirsty) tale.
That same general time frame I was heading north and east through the
same area driving a Miata from LA to Winnipeg for a friend.
Not as interesting ina car, even a small sport car, but not bad
either.
Other than the Mojave at mid afternoon in a car with no A/C.
Or being stuck in Idaho at 2 AM with no motels vacancies for 300 miles
and having to sleep in a 2 seater in a Walmart parking lot.
2.5 days/2100 miles.
Have one on me.
