I'm still jugglin' work and kid stuff to try n' make it happen, you'll
know when I do.

Last year we had a guy do a face plant ridin' out th' driveway. Broke
a few ribs, road rash, etc. I'd bet my last penny that suing me never
even entered his scuffed up cranium. Then again, I only invite
friends. In yer bud's case just have 'em sign a waiver or they don't
get in.

Then he's gonna have problems. Not unsurmountable, but problems go
hand in hand with bigger events. Sounds to me like he needs to get a
*good* security crew put together and let them deal with th' locals
problem. That way he can deal with th' other shit. Micro managing
these things tends to have less than favorable results.
Once a few locals get their asses handed to 'em, th' word spreads and
that problem goes bye, bye. Have folks sign waivers and yer liability
issue just dissapeared. Figure yer expenses correctly and charge
accordingly and yer money loss problem is history.
When I did th' ABATE runs we'd have one guy in charge of security, one
for vendors, one for games, one fer advertising and one fer th'
secretary/treasurer stuff. Everyone would meet regularly to stay on
th' same page and it went off pretty smooth. Whoever's runnin' th'
show needs to let th' others do their jobs and stay th' fuck outta
their way.
Snarl... and don't forget to have FUN
