He was one of a kind for sure. Made the world around him a little more
interesting, 20 seconds at a time. I jumped more than a few objects riding
my early 70's bicycle chopper. Built the jumps out of a piece of junk
plywood and anything lying around to prop them up. For those 3 seconds, I
was Evel Knieval. But when I'd fall, I was the little kid running inside for
mom's dose of peroxide and a bandaid and maybe a hug.
See ya Evel... <clink>

I remember having to drive all hell's half acre to find my son an Evel
Knivel Action Jump set for Christmas one year. Finally snagged one after
some bribery transpired.
To Evel <clink> you were one of a kind.

I remember back at the age of 17 when I took my Honda ST 90 flying
around the running track at Westmount HS to launch off of a ramp made
of wood we found lying about just to see how far airborn I could get.
The ramp collapsed half way thru' the jump and I ended up bending both
mirror posts and sheering off the flashers and brake handle. I was in
pain for a couple of days to say the least.
I enjoyed that day immensly.
Bad influence that guy was...
Thanks Evel ;-)
