They probably don't stock tyres in correct size for your bike.

Some people have poor customer skills.  Why don't you start
with asking your MSF instructor where's a decent shop to get
tyres for your bike?  It will save you some time a grief to
get with a reputable shop who will treat you right.

Well, the very first word out of her mouth was "sorry" rather than laughing at
you so don't  let it bug you too much.

BTW, was this

Jim's World of Wheels 947 South Central Ave Oviedo, FL 32765 ?

If not, which one was it?

But you are part of the Orlando area, and there are other shops just a few miles
away, right?

I have no motorcycle shops in my local town but there are several within a 10
mile radius.

Do they advertize as a Harley Shop?
I have been to indy shops who only work on Japanese bikes.
Didn't bother me (much) when I had my BMW or Harleys.
Mind you, they would do the basics (Tires, oil, brakes, safety)
although they always had to order the stuff.
Just easier to go where they work on the type of bike you have.
So now, after looking around, I have alternatives to my dealer.
Two indy shops that do H-D and just about anything else, two indy
shops that do Japanese and one that does BMW.
I happen to like my dealer. It's a lot like Cheers - a place where
everyone knows your name.
I also like the two closest indy shops. The one that only does
Japanese and the one that does Japanese and BMW.

Before you critisize someone,
you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you critisize them,
you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
