This morning I had two things on my mind. Well, I had three things on
my mind, but two things that I would be able to accomplish today.
I rode the Road King from my home in San Jose to the veterinary clinic
in nearby Campbell to pick up this month's supply of anti-inflammatory
drugs for Barney the fourteen-year-old Labrador Retriever.
Then I got onto Interstate 880 and rode about 35 miles up to Fremont to
have the upholstery guy give me an estimate on repairs to my saddle.
After the estimate, we got to talking about the ABCs of Touring.
It turns out that he's a member of Fremont H.O.G. and fully understands
the search for cities, counties and states. I gave him what information
I had about the third "Xenia" that I know of, and made arrangements to
bring the saddle back in next week.
[Xenia OH, Xenia IL, Xenia KS]
It was over 80 degrees F. when I left Fremont and headed home. I stopped
a few times for ABCs photos, to remove the soft lowers, and then for
fuel, and made it home about 1:30 this afternoon.
Whew! It isn't even officially spring yet, and we have had our first
very hot summer day.
As always, "sorry" to those in the snow belt.

FYYFF, we had more of the devil cold, with a smattering of rain, sleet, and
snow.

Hope you like breathing smoke like your going to from June through
October this year. And I'll be no better off up here in Oregon. This
"climate change" (Bushspeak for GLOBAL WARMING) is scaring the shit out
of me.
