Drinks for everyone.
Can any of you give me a bit of info that may be of interest to someone
buying a RK Police Edition? The bike in question is a 2005, and CARFAX
can't find the VIN. Is there something different about it being a
police bike, or did the seller just give a bad VIN? Google came up with
nothing on this subject (that I could see anyway).
I suggested he try it with his insurance company and see if they'll
take it as a good VIN.
Anything else to know about a Police bike?
Thanks all. I wish I could head to MAMBM to meet you in person but it's
not going to happen for a few years I'm thinking.

My understanding is that HD only will sell them to police not civilians.
When they are sold and bought through a second party they are fair game. As
far as the VIN there is nothing different it should have popped up. Could
be hinky or just a lose nut behind the key board. The safe bet is have the
dealer run the vin they will do it a no cost in hopes you will buy some
trinkets.
