Beers on Wally's tab - until I get a paycheck<g>

This may not seem to be a big deal to most folks, but now my daily commute =
*temporarily*  is 172 miles one way. I try to get to work about 8am, so far=
even in the car that's hard to accomplish,  gotta leave earlier to make th=
at happen.
Today I was ready, the weather was cooperating, just a light fog this morni=
ng. I sure wish those H7616's would hold up on my bike I sure could have us=
ed them.  put my rain gear in the sattle bag just in case, I've left home a=
couple of time in great conditions to only get into one hell of a downpour=
20 miles from work, it was nice and dark as I started down the driveway, I=
really like that bright white light I got at Pep-Boys, the only good advic=
e I got from an HD service guy was to NOT spend the money for the HD replac=
ement bulb, the kids around there were running these bright whites that loo=
k kinda blue, and it's an exact fit for the HD bulb and only 12 dollars, I =
start out my ride south to go north<g> hwy 95 to Morrilton, about 3 miles i=
nto my ride I see eyeballs and some movement in the ditch to the left of me=
, so I look right and sure enough there's a couple deer wanting to cross th=
e road in front of me, and the fog is starting to get thicker, I slow to a =
craw and I see it now running along side of me keeping up with my pace, so =
I slow even more and pull in the clutch and he/she now decides its a good t=
ime to cross, and goes along his merry way, now I'm wanting more light, dam=
n, I remember this bike having better low beam lighting, the rest of the tr=
ip was uneventful, I kept saying to myself, friggin Arkansas needs to spend=
some money on re-painting these lines, that was my only other issue especi=
ally on a curve with oncoming gas rigs, I'm almost at the I-40 entrance and=
I check my aux light switch and viola! I had my aux lights off the whole e=
ntire time, great timing<g> at the entrance to I40 I gas up, and hit the sl=
ab, most of the ride on I40 west is uneventful and dull, once I turn onto 5=
40 north to Fayetteville the scenery gets awesome, I try not to look around=
too much but it's kinda hard not to soak in the view, the ride up is great=
, no traffic to speak of until I get to Fayetteville, the speed limit chang=
es about 3 times from 70 to 60 to 55 back to 65 then back to 70 again, but =
I make it about the same time as I do when taking the car, I have to rememb=
er to put my ear plugs in before I get on the bike for the trip home, I'm s=
till hearing wind........
It's nice to be back in the area, I never in a million years would have tho=
ught I'd hear myself say, but being back in Arkansas is great and now that =
the new job is gonna pay relo costs, I can start looking at homes in the Eu=
reka Springs and Rogers area, this will bring me about 45 mins from work an=
d no interstate traffic.

I owe Wally some SNPA, so let's toss a few of those around while we're
at it.

Glad to hear that things are working out for you. Sounds like a good
outfit if they're willing to pay to relocate you.

Too bad you have to go so far to work in the meantime, but at least you
can ride the bike and enjoy the beautiful Arkansas scenery. Wonderful
country, 'cept for the deer...and cedar trees, of course.

If you end up if the Fayetteville area you'll be a mere 4 hours south of
me. (Gardner, KS) Heck...we'll damn near be neighbors.
