It's that time of year when rumors are rife about Harleys and in a few
more days we will know the real story. A guy who is a friend of a guy
who sells insurance to a guy (blah-blah) tells me that Harley-
Davidson will release their trike for the model year 2009. It is based
on the Ultra Screaming Eagle and to be tagged at (hold your breath) +
$51,000. If this is true then I would expect a revamping in the model
year 2010. I just see how they can sell a motorcycle in that price
range. After market companies such as Lehman, DFT and Champion can put
a customer on the road for less than $36K. My '97 EGC/Lehman is
looking better at $31K total.

I heard this last year. In the media section of HD they struck a contract
with Lehman. Release of the Harley branded trike was unknown. Based on all
touring models not just Screaming Eagles.

Looks like there's a new model, Road King Heritage. But it's listed
as an FLHTCUH, which would be more like an Ultra Classic Heritage???

This may 'splain why the local stealer has been cranking out a lot of
trike-conversions lately and putting them on the showroom floor.
