Plastic is on the bar, snacks at the other end...This may take awhile.
Being winter and all, I had this bright idea to install an
aftermarket radio in my previously radioless FLH. The compartment
where the dealer radio usually goes, is a little larger than this
radio. What can be used to make this radio fit> ? Are there some type
of sleeves that can be used to make this radio fit in the shell?
Thanks for the help. I got plenty of beer and a warm garage/basement
to work this out. I figure there should be some handy engineers out
there that can help me .
Thanks,
Speleo

Socks and underwear.
Sunflower seeds and beef jerkey.
Maps
Extra bandannas.
CDs
Bottled water.
I can think of a million things to stuff in there
on a long trip.

How about trimming some of the black foam rubber similar to that in
gun cases, to snug up the fit and keep it from shifting around. Then
you may find a trim piece you can attach around the outer rim for
retention. On my boat I installed a new marine radio in an oversized
compartment with velcro. Over the years, radios had gotten much
smaller. Never had a problem.
