Does anyone know if there is a main fuse in a softtail?
Had the battery load tested at a Batteries + and it is up to snuff.
No lights or noise.
It isn't mine and I don't know much about Harleys. My friend doesn't do
much online so I thought I'd ask here.
I have an old Suzuki that has a main fuse that blows once in a while and
the exact same thing happens.
Is the model needed to know?
Thanks.

"Check the kill switch"
Oh no! That is the first advice I give others. Completely slipped my
mind.
Hope that is what it is.
Thanks, Jeff

Checked the kill switch. It is on run.
The bike is a 1989 FX-STC
I look at wiring diagrams at Bikebandit, but couldn't find a main fuse
listed.
As I looked over the diagrams, I saw it could be many things. Breaker,
ign. switch, or just corroded connections.
It had started, but then nothing. No lights or gauges.
The owner says he is going to get the dealer to bring a trailer, but I
thought if it were a common problem, he could save a bit of money.

No Lights???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm....Kinda sounds like your battery has had a
little too much "snuff".
