I know a lady who wants a bike for highway touring day trips and
the occasional weekend overnighter (max 500 miles/day). She's more
interested in comfort than in performance, so she'd have a windscreen
installed and maybe an aftermarket seat. Also she'd prefer a more
neutral riding position than forward foot controls.
She wants to know which if any of the Sportster models would be
suitable, and especially any comments from other lady riders.
Next round's on me -- 2 rounds for Sportster riders.

Sorry, can't help you with that one. I ride a Heritage. Butt I will
take that coffee (along with another zantac), and thank you very much.

another coffee please...
how tall is she? What does she weigh?
Does she really want a Harley, a Sporty in particular?
The 883 and the 883L both have mid controls.
the 883c has forward controls.
the seat on the 883 is one inch higher than the c.
then there's the 883r...which I know nothing about.
Go the the HD website and compare them side by side.
Then she needs to go LOOK and SIT on them.
The Sporty is a bit "top heavy" but I know many women
shorter than me that ride them (assuming your gal is short).
I have an XL883c and love it, but then again, I'm almost 6' tall.
OTH, I'm also slender and don't have much upper body strength, so the
top heavy part of the bike has been an issue for me if I'm not completely
straight when stopping. I also have a windshield on mine.
can you hit that coffee again....don't forget the sweet'n'low, two please.
