--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Epping NH Dry & mid 70's until sun set then mid 60's still dry.
Light~5mph NW (uptrack/left) wind. ~200 vehicles peak, about 26 bikes,
several sleds.

This is my first event of the season, as was the case last year my basic
skills concerning launch & taking full advantage of the engines potential
require refinement & practice of the correct techniques

The Wheelie bar was a confidence builder, the skates never hit the surface,
but they will once I get the other factors in order. Launch RPMs were in the
5000 range, not consistent.

The shift from 4/5 was missing, need more delay, currently at 90ms.
With the 26 tooth I need 5th, that or I should up the shift light RPM, still
well below red line 9300 rpms

I was hitting on cue most of the time with the the air shifter 1/2/3/4

Having the Air Shifter is a great helper, allowing me to launch and lift
legs rearward onto the strut pegs.

Placing my body over the airbox, and head facing straight over the cluster &
shift light. Looking forward to my new drag bars arriving soon, hopefully
before 8/23/2009 when I anticipate going to the track once again for an All
bike ~Street Drags~

at first, I'm thinking your reaction times need some good practice,
then I thought, WOW, wonder how mine are after all these years...

shit I bet I break out the 1st half of the tries then be completely on
the opposite end,  while the others were running down the track, I'd
be getting ready to hit the juice worrying about that damn red light
<g>

it;s been a while since I've been on a strip, I miss it sometimes ,
sometimes I don't.  but your making me want to do it again, thanks for
the post, looks like your having a great time!
