Belly up to the bar.  My plastic is out, and last week-end my grown
son taught me how to do tequila shooters with Corona chasers, so I'm
feeling no pain, plus I won't even notice what the hell you're putting
on my tab!

I'm completing the installation of my hydraulic clutch and oil
temperature gauge on my '06 Street Glide, and the oil hose cover that
my dealer sold me to replace the stock oil hose cover (which the oil
temperature gauge kit clearly states will no longer fit once the oil
temperature sender is spliced into the oil line) doesn't work with the
oil temperature sender, either.  It's p/n 37946-99.  (I should've read
the back of the package before I left the dealer with it; it says
"DOES NOT FIT WITH OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE" right on there!)

I've perused the Harley catalog for alternative covers, to no avail.
P/N 37961-02 "must be used with Engine Transmission Interface Cover P/
Ns 66096-02 or 66503-02", both of which "Will not fit models equipped
with Hydraulic Clutch."

P/N 66530-03, "Cast Engine Transmission Interface Cover"  states that
it "Will not fit ... models equipped with Hydraulic Clutch, or models
equipped with Screamin' Eagle® 6-Speed Transmission.," both of which
are installed on my bike.

I'd be happy to buy an aftermarket cover, if anyone knows of one.

Seems that if you have a SE 6-speed and you install the oil
temperature gauge, you can't cover up the oil lines between the engine
and transmission any more?   That doesn't make sense to me.  Harley is
usually very good about providing numerous ways for me to spend my
money, especially when I'm drinking Cuervo Gold or whatever that nasty
stuff was.....

Thanks in advance for any and all leads!

Is there a threaded oil gallery plug at the front of your oil pan? ISTR some
people installing
sending units there prior to the factory's use of the oil line tap.

people installing

That's an excellent question, and an excellent alternative approach
that hadn't even occurred to narrowminded me!

I will check after I slide home from work tonight.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I installed oil temp and pressure gauges on my
'01 FLHT.  I used the pipe threaded plug on the
front of the pan as recommended by the Hog Dr.
I used Autometer Z series electric gauges.  They
match the HD stuff well and the pair was less than
$100.  Been on there for 4 years and 50K more
or less with no problems.  Some folks have worried
about the sender decreasing oil flow by partially
blocking the passage, but it's worked well for me.

You just need an exposed oil line.  Why not slice it into the line to
