They just tapped a fresh keg of PBR. Brewed yesterday.
My bike is in the shop. Picking it up today.
After two years of running an oil cooler and normal running temps
190-200F it has started getting really hot. Hot up to 300F or so.
Ran 1-way 120 miles last Sunday. Stayed at the 190-200F for 80 miles
then started creeping up. Over the last 40 miles it hit the 275-280F
range.
Ok. Been getting hot the last few weeks but with this I'm thinking
its the thermostat in the oil cooler.
So I take to my dealer and leave it.
Call today and talk to the tech. He put it on the dyna. It got hot.
But they all get hot I'm told.
It's getting hotter than normal.
But the temps are in the normal range I'm told.
I ask if there's a possibility the thermostat is not working.
Well, maybe. They will try and call HD tech Support.
Arrrrggggggg me matey. I think I be taking my cutlass with me to the
shop

Do you have enough miles on that beast to wear a hole in the fuel
delivery hose from the pump to the outlet fitting? Or dying pump? Test
fuel pressure....
300 is farging redickless even without a cooler, it's lean I tells ya.
