Well, I got 10K out of the stock rear & replaced it with an
E3. I've got 10K on that tire & 20K on the stock front, so I figured
I should replace both if I'm goin' to the left coast & back. 'Course
the E3 on the rear is barely half worn, so I figured I'd hang on to it
& re-mount it when the new one wore out & I wasn't goin' on any long
trips. After all, it's still a good tire. No air pressure problems
the last few times I checked it. Got it off the rim & was puttin' it
up when I noticed the problem in the pictures across the street.......
Is that good or bad luck?

I'd put that down to good luck. Heck of a lot better to find it in your
garage than have it strand you 4 miles from where the Rooster last took a
dump.

You're probably right. I know I could put an internal patch,
or patch & tube it to get the mileage out of it, but knowin' me it'll
prolly go to the dump with the rest of 'em.

Hot, wet, and busy with stuff I'd rather not deal with. Such is life.

Similar story when I changed my rear tire last time. A nail had
obviously been in the tire for a LONG time, head was completely worn
off. Never lost any air to it.
