I'm wondering if anyone has been through a set of tires
on an 09 FLHTCU? I'm used to only getting about 8K
from the sticky tires on my Wings but I just checked the
Ultra and I've still got 4.5/32" on the front and 5/32" on
the rear at 6,885 miles which surprised me. I forgot to
measure them new but I was expecting to need new tires
in another 2,500 miles or so. But now I'm thinking I may
be good till 10K or better before I have to rob a 7-11
to finance the new tires.
Anyone??

Changed the rear of my 04 FLSTCI last year after 30,000km, the front now has
42,000km.

You're lucky. The 09's have been known to have cupping problems on the
front. Do a Google search and you'll get plenty of hits. The dealers
are playing dumb, but I've heard that they stopped selling the old
tires and came out with a new P/N that is basically the same tire with
reverse rotation.

I have yet to see or hear of any premature wearing and also any replacement
tire with a new part number.
Since I have to order them in I would be one of the first to see it.
Of course, our season didn't get started until a couple of months ago.
