2008 XL883L - the low one, with about 2" of rear suspension before it
hits the base of your spine.
Any idea how long a rear shock I could put on to give a bit more travel
and improve cornering clearance?
I was thinking of some lower bars as well....

There is a nice bar in Daytona called Smileys. Pretty good cheeseburgers.

Go to jpcycles dot com and dig through the shocks and fork tube
sections and find your bike model and year.

Make sure you raise the front and rear equally to maintain factory
rake and trail, or take it to a professional.

If you're going to monkey around with front and rear heights, make
sure you understand what rake and trail means, and be damn careful
with experimentation. After a few years of mucking around with
lowering the ride height front, rear, and various combinations on my
FXR, I eventually put it back to stock.

Btw, if you're new here and plan on sticking around, search for and
read the rmhfaq.
