Not wanting to be a blow hard.....

I wanted to give my bike a good shakedown after the warranty work I had done
recently.....

So.....

I rode 289 miles this afternoon, up the hill to Flagstaff, turned left and went
to Belmont. Bought a T-shirt (my last one was worn out), ate a burger, got gas,
went back to Flagstaff, turned right, and then came back down the hill.

Smelled pine trees, got to practice my lane splitting for a couple miles on I-17
on the way out. Cops were dealing with a mangled, rolled over car, and people
were out of their vehicles talking and enjoying the morning. I went to the head
of the line and the cop opened the lane and waved us through <sfsf>.

Jinks already made a comment about gas and the burger joint, so I won't
bother.

I-17

How'd the bike run? Any new noises, etc.? Since I'm thinking about the
same kinda upgrades I wanna know.

I saw that.......

As well as it ever did.......

It's quieter, but with some new noises <sfsf>. Even without my hearing aids, I
was always able to hear the racket the timing chains made...

With the hydraulic unit I can still hear it just a tiny little bit, little
louder at idle when the oil pressure is lower (5psi??). But overall, it's a
quieter system.....

The old style system was spring loaded, full tension on the chains all the time.
The new system being hydraulic, the tension is lighter as the oil pressure is
lower. The chains are narrower/smaller too....
